Sonia ji means Elections

Google Translate service is considered a trustworthy service to perform translations in different language from different language. There are variety of languages available to translate from and to.

Here’s a funny translation that it is doing for UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

If you choose to translate from Hindi to English and type “Sonia ji” then it is translated to English as “Elections“.

Although, it shows correct translation in alternate translations.

How come “Sonia ji” is synonymous to “Elections”? Is somebody from Google playing a prank on her or is it indeed a mistake or is it a fact that “Sonia ji” means “Elections“, as far as Indian politics is concerned?

Not sure what it is but it is definitely to have a good laugh about:)
