We went to Barbeque after a very long time ever since they increased their prices. It was same and awesome as ever. Barbecue starters and desserts are its USP and will always remain.

We had a terrific time eating so so much at our own Barbeque Nation.

Gaurav is leaving SunGard soon. 1st May is his last, probably. It was nice having Gaurav in the team. His contribution has been superb. Wish him luck wherever he goes and whatever he does.

This was unlike to our one night stay Dapoli trip but very much similar to Mulshi dam trip. We started early in the morning, met more guys at a hotel on Satara road after toll plaza. We started from there only. Had heavy breakfast then left for Mahabaleshwar. Found a suitable place at Panchgani and sat there for couple of hours. Thoroughly enjoyed the time. Then to Mahabaleshwar.

I had a back on the way to Mahabaleshwar that completely spoiled the mood but nevertheless, enjoyed Special Strawberry shake and Bhel on the way back. Everyone bought strawberries too @ Rs100/kg (rates for future reference)

Nilesh managed it really well. Thanks Nilesh. Vishant’s new car drive was amazing. Good to remember part is we did not pay toll tax at all. Magical Nilesh did the trick

Hope we have many more trips.

It was an awesome meal. I never knew KFC offers that much.

Again, myself, Swapnil, Nilesh and Pankaj enjoyed it in the parking space and then joined the team on the KFC venture.

Awesome time.

It is an awesome place. We got the open roof top last time but an internal disc this time. Thoroughly enjoyed the night. Danced to max. Started at 7:30 and almost ended by 10:30, we really wined, danced and dined a lot. I, personally, moved my legs this much after a very very long time.

2011 ended with a grand team party. Hope to have many such more in 2012.

Reached there a bit late but managed to do all activities. Ride on Ghoda gaadi and Columbus was the best. Toy train ride was equally enjoyable.

It was a bit crowded than the last time, coz of weekend I guess, but that too could not stop us enjoy the evening to max. Enthu also looked missing in the people who were serving food, coz of crowd again I guess.

Swapnil, Nilesh, Aditya, Pankaj, Rahul, Varun and myself graced the evening with our families . Nilesh’s daughter Aarushi and Aanya played with everyone and made their baby’s day out.

After 10% corporate discount it costed Rs 405 per head, a bit more than the last time.

A good day indeed.

There was a fancy dress competition for children for which I got Aanya dressed up in Rajasthani outfits but for some reason we could not reach there on time and hence she missed her chance. No worries as she really enjoyed with everyone. She found a new friend for herself, Aarushi, Nilesh’s daughter. They both were so funny.

Good time. Swapnil and his family is also so cute.

It was a much needed break after a long time. We ate, drank and ate and drank on the pool side roof of the building. We danced for sometime, discussed project updates and cracked jokes too.

It was me, James and Tom. We had couple of cheers and something to eat and we talked about the history and here and there.

It was a good time to have spent here with them when I am alone in Miami, most of the time.

Ordered pizzas from Papa John’s, after having a pretty long altercation with the delivery guy and his in-office boss about the wrong delivery, we finally ate the pizzas (not so hot) and enjoyed talking. We were so hungry that we did not even leave the lunch brought by Nabin and Sarang. We got a complementary family-size pizza free later on.

Good lunch over all.

Danced on so many numbers after so much of time. DJ was really cool.

Hats off to the organizers. It will be remembered for a very long time.

Time to celebrate

Non-vegetarians ordered from Cafe Arabia and vegetarians got Paranthas from Flavours. It was an awesome mixed lunch.

I still remember the day when I resigned in Xchanging. 30th Sep 2009 was my last day there and on the very next day I joined SunGard i.e. on 1st Oct 2009.

I was carrying all my luggage with me on my last day in Xchanging and directly came to Pune from there. SunGard has some very decent guesthouses where I stayed for first 10 days.

I cannot forget the time spent with my first room mates of life (away from my family) Ananth Naag and Milan Kumar. Whatever time I could spent with them, I thoroughly enjoyed it. We had so much fun. We searched for rented apartment together and then finalized one in Comfort Zone, Balewadi. It is a superb society.

After staying in Pune for a month and enjoying my time with my colleagues in office (they all were so helpful) and friends at home I went to US for 3 months for product training. 4th Nov 2009 was the day.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time there in Denver first and then in Miami. Everyone in the team was so helpful that I really felt at my home country.

Although I was alone in Denver, missing my family, Tom took good care of me and I am really thankful to him and owe him this. I really enjoyed several lunches with him and couple of trips to mountains where I did skiing for the first time. I was also fortunate to get some quality development work on the project and ready help from peers, whenever needed. I would also like to thank couple more people who made my stay memorable – Linda, Vicky and Lucy the dog.

After spending almost 2.5 months there in Denver, I went to Miami to spend a fortnight with the Miami team and believe me it was damn fun. They all are so good. I was really missing the company of same culture people there in Denver. And in Miami, I found Virang Maniar and Mahesh Joshi with whom whatever moment I spent became memorable.

We rented a car and drove down to South Beach and Key West. I drove in US for the first time. Daring act I must say

Came back from US on 5th Feb 2010 and after spending couple of weeks in Delhi for my brother’s wedding moved back to Pune on 21st Feb 2010. Again stayed with Ananth and Milan. I don’t want to leave this opportunity to thank them for the kindness.

Within couple of weeks I found out an apartment for myself and in a week’s time got my wife to Pune. Settling down took us a month but after that life became usual every day, but I always felt freshen up going to the office. People in the office are so humble and kind. Moreover,  I have been regularly getting good work to keep me busy. I really like the way extra-curricular activities are conducted in SunGard. They not only boost up the moral of the employees but also keep smile on their faces all the time. I love the work-life balance culture in the company. We had so many lunches, dinners, parties,outings etc. Lucky to be working with the team I am in. Can’t  forget the week when we had James in Pune. We had gone out almost every day. Chokhi Dhani trip was really good.

Till then half a year has gone by and it looks like as if it was yesterday. Apologies if I have hurt anybody at any point of time.

Really, experience success in SunGard.

Swapnil took the entire Distribution Pune team out for Lunch at Legacy Nawab, Viman Nagar and believe me it was damn fun.

My car ran around 500 KMs both sides. Too much for 24 hours.

It is an awesome campus with world class facilities. Feels good to be here and enjoy the professional life.
